I love catching those brief few minutes of swirling mist just after sunrise. I haven’t been able to predict when a mist like this is going to happen, though. Some mornings it’s there, others there’s nothing. But then, half the fun of photography is heading out with your camera, not knowing what you’re going to find.
Stunning!
Thank you!
You caught this moment just perfectly. I agree that not knowing what you’ll find is half the fun. The frustrating part for me is when I have my phone, which takes great shots, and see a photo op that will only work with my Nikon and telephoto. 🙂

Thanks! I don’t have a phone to take pictures with, so I always take my camera everywhere. And my tripod stays in my car. 🙂
I just got a tripod after Christmas and it’s going to Arizona with me. Also got a macro lens and I want to practice with that. My carry-on is like a camera shop!
Macro lens and tripod: two things that opened up whole new worlds in photography for me.
You definitely have a latent for capturing the swirling mist!
Thank you.
One word: stunning. 🙂
Thanks!
There’s something unexpected about the puffier clouds on the left side giving way to whispy fog on the right. Beautiful catch!
Thank you!
Beautiful shot!
Thanks very much!
Perfect time and place! 🙂
I agree, these minutes are the best !
That is a beautiful find indeed.
Wow! What a gorgeous photo!
Thank you!
