pearly hues

I rarely get down to this beach, as it is accessible only at low tide, and most often that does not coincide with the times I am out photographing. On this particular morning, however, I got lucky with the tide and a beautiful soft light, which made everything look like it had been painted with the hues from inside an oyster shell.

As some of you may know, the coasts of Washington State and British Columbia were battered by storms this past weekend. I went out yesterday afternoon to see if I could capture the aftermath. The tide was high, the wind hadn’t quite abated and the sea was still quite choppy. I managed to get some wet feet and these shots.
