Blue-eyed Mary is a wildflower that pops up faithfully every spring on the mossy embankment at the end of our property. It is very pretty but also tiny, and easy to overlook.

I headed out to the beach this morning, hoping to take advantage of blustery conditions to get some interesting wave shots. However, as soon as I got to my destination, the skies opened in a deluge. I sat for fifteen minutes or so hoping the rain would pass, but it just got harder and harder, so I gave up in disgust and did my grocery shopping instead.
