Honestly, I really didn’t feel like venturing out this morning. The temperature was around freezing with a stiff wind which made it feel a lot colder. But I gave myself a stern talking to, bundled up, and headed down to the beach.
The salt spray immediately coated my lens, and the wind made my eyes water, necessitating much wiping of each. Despite the bracing weather, it really was a beautiful winter morning.
Glad you made it out, Karen, and you were rewarded. Living in the Chicago area, I know all about the wind and its chill! Stay warm and enjoy. Maybe some hot chocolate? 🙂

I got home and the sun was beaming through the windows of the house. I had to open a couple of windows to let out some of the hot air!
Lucky fish. Happy New Year dear Karen 😊
Thank you, same to you!
😊
Your fortitude was rewarded!
Thanks!
Gosh these are great captures, awesome! Happy New Year Karen 🙂
Thanks, Ron. Happy New Year to you, too!
Great shots, Karen! 🙂
We’ve had two days of non-stop, extremely heavy rain here in Illinois! The river we live on will be rising!
You can almost feel the cold from those icy blue waves. Beautiful
The colors here were worth the effort. Beautiful!
Thanks! The water was so clean and clear that morning.
It looks lovely ! I love blue sky during winter, it’s quite pretty
Me, too. 🙂
I was at the beach this last Tuesday and it was the same. The windchill almost froze my face off, but it was incredibly beautiful.
Glad your face stayed on! It’s been a little calmer here lately.
