beach stones

As a kid, I was a rock hound. My eyes are still attracted to the colours and textures of stones, such as these beautiful ocean-tumbled specimens.

Lovely stones. This summer in Wales, the kids and I picked two little buckets of beautiful stones from a rocky shore. Great fun!

I too used to collect stones as a child, but what a disappointment when they dried out and those wonderful colours faded. I always wanted one of those stone polishers that jewelry makers used so I could keep the colours vibrant. I never got one though!

It is amazing how many different colours and pattern they show if you look close to the small stones by the Sea. They are hard to resist, beautiful composed, I really like this.
