burnished

I took this photo at slack tide as the sun was almost breaking through a patchy layer of clouds.. There was no wind, and the ocean was so calm and flat that I decided to exaggerate the effect with a long exposure. It took only seven seconds to smooth the surface of the water completely.

This is one of those images that looks black and white but is in fact a colour photo.

    I am studying landscape painint and learning to design dragons. In this peaceful photograph I see a water dragon lounging, it’s head facing the depths My assignment is to find references for creating a dragon with personality. I think we have a zen dragon here. I always adore your photos. They make me miss living on the Pacific coast.
